I would be surprised if it weren't governed to 55 mph or less. Even side by side's like the Razer 1000's are governed to 77 mph, I'd suspect the Wildcat 1000's as well. You can reclutch for more, but you'll probably have to figure out how to fool the computer. Curious, if you buy one, what you get.

My buddy has a 14 hdx700 he gets 62mph out of his on a gravel road

I have a 16 model 700 hdx. Fastest I have seen was 60 on blacktop country road. With any kind of headwind 56-57 is pretty consistent. I think clutching would help ALOT. Clutching seems lazy, would like to put a kit in it but haven't heard of any actual results.

hi guys. I bought a new, unused 2015 700xt 2 weeks ago. I joined a prowler forum, but it don't seem very active like this one. still got my 500, but learning and exploring the capabilities of the new kitty. my observations, so far, indicate this thing ROX! trying to break it in respectfully, but not babying it either. don't hold wide open, etc.... ive seen 55mph on mine on the road. that smokes my 13 500xt on 27s..... ill be chiming in and asking questions a lot. it seemd great hill climbing the trails too. it seems large and tall sometimes though..... lol, don't wanna scratch it just yet! thanx guys, awesome sight....

this thing would look awesome on 28" mayhems, but I'm afraid id lose too much performance? your thoughts?
